Rural Crime Watch Update

More than 100 people came to Wawota to hear Corporal Mel Zurevinsky on 27th March.
We heard the RCMP’s vision for a new approach to rural crime prevention and information sharing.

Our new rural crime watch will be called “848 Rural Crime Watch”. Our area will be South of Hwy 1, east of Hwy 9, north of Hwy 13 to MB border. Individual residents and Municipalities are welcome to join the group. We will be supported by Carlyle and Moosomin RCMP detachments.

Next Steps for interested people:

  • 1. Contact the RCMP and obtain a current Criminal Record Check.
  • 2. Download WhatsApp on your mobile device.

To allow all interested people to obtain their C.R. check we will meet again on 22nd May 2018 in Wawota at 7pm. We need a couple of volunteers – Secretary, tech assistants etc. Any questions please e-mail rcw848@sasktel.net
